Simone Biles
Simone Biles, a gymnast American, was awarded her 20th medal at the world championships when Team USA won their seventh world title, consecutively, at the Antwerp Belgium's on October 4. She is now the most decorated female gymnast in the history of gymnastics with 33 medals at world competitions and the Olympics. Biles performed an extremely difficult vault just three days prior, which no woman had done before on the stage in international competition. The feat, formerly known as the Yurchenko Double Pike Vault, has been changed to Biles II. On the 6th October, the world-record holder will compete in her individual all-around competition. It will be her first event on the international stage after 2021. Simone was born in Columbus, Ohio around 1997. Her birth mother battled with addiction to drugs.
